DESCRIPTION:
Bailen apartment enjoys an excellent location at the Modernist Eixample, a centric and safe commercial area few steps from the old town. The apartment is on the first floor of a typical building from the beginning of the century (1919) distinguished by its large rooms, high ceilings and natural daylight. It was refurbished completely in 2001 so it combines the elegance of a classical building with modern and comfortable design in the interiors.
Bailen is a spacious apartment with capacity up to 8 people. There is a double large bedroom with balcony, a large and comfortable double bed, independent air conditioned and heating and decorated with parquet and nice antique ceilings. The other room is a single one with a sofa-bed for a couple so it can be used by one or two people depending on your needs. The main room of the apartment is a large living-room fully equipped with 2 sofas-bed (sleeps 4), and other furniture, colour TV, Hi-Fi music equipment (CD, tuner, tape), air conditioned and heating. Moreover there is a "balcony-gallery", typical of houses from the beginning of the century.
The apartment has also a kitchen and eating room, brand new and fully equipped: microwave, combo refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, juice squeezer and a table for 4 persons, extendable, up to 8. For your comfort, we provide you with basic products, such as olive oil and vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, milk, coffee, cleaning products, etc. It has also a washing machine. There is also two refurbished, one of them with bathtube and the other with a shower, clean and in good conditions with hair dryer, hot water all day long and bathtub (so you can have a shower or a bath as you like).
In addition, towels and sheet are provided as well as a cot for babies. Besides we provide lots of information about Barcelona, Catalunya (guide books and maps), its culture and cuisine, so you can use them for free during your stay.

WHERE IS THE APARTMENT:
How to arrive:
You can reach the apartment easily from the airports and the main train stations. From El Prat airport, take the train or the Aerobus until Plaça Catalunya. From there, the easiest and most comfortable way is to take a taxi (costs aprox. 6€). Otherwise, you can take the metro and stop at Girona station (you need to transfer once). From Girona airport, take the bus that brings you to Barcelona and that leaves you near Tetuan station. Then, you can walk for 7 minutes aprox. in order to reach the apartment.
From Sants station, take the metro directly and stop at Girona station (need to transfer once).
The area
Bailen apartment is in a strategic location, in a quiet and very safe area, where you will find a friendly neighbourhood and a lively commercial and leisure zone plenty of shops, markets, restaurants, etc. Moreover, the main landmarks can be reached easily either on foot or by public transport. The Gothic quarter and the Gracia area, two of the highlights of Barcelona are just 10 minutes walking from the apartments.
If you prefer moving around with public transportation, no problem! At a walking distance of less than 1 minute, you'll find 2 metro lines (yellow and purple) and many bus lines that will take you almost anywhere without transfer: Barcelona beaches, Barri Gòtic, Port Vell and Maremagnum, Picasso museum, Macba, Parc Güell, Sagrada Família, Pg. de Gràcia, Pl. Espanya, trade fair.
