On November 15, 2000, Disney opened their fifth Disney Vacation Club location with the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Located next to the popular Disney's Wilderness Lodge, the villas are open to both Disney Vacation Club and non-Disney Vacation Club members. This resort will transport guests back to the time of the great American West and the time of the Golden age of railroad travel. Many items of memorabilia are located in the Iron Spike room, including a collection of train memorabilia and artwork. Walt Disney had a fascination with railroads and one of the displays is the exhibit of two of Walt's personal scale-model railroad cars.
