How to arrive:
If you arrive at Barcelona-El Prat Airport you have two possibilities:
1- Taking the "Cercanías" train to Plaza Catalunya. From there you can go
walking or take the the red line (L1) of the metro to Urquinaona.
2-Taking the Aerobus to Plaza Catalunya. From there you can go walking or take
the the red line (L1) of the metro to Urquinaona.
If you arrive at Girona-Costa Brava airport you must take the Sagales bus to
Paseo Sant Joan, close to Plaza Tetuán. From there take the purple line (L2) of
the metro in the direction of Paral.lel to Paseo de Gracia station. Once there,
take the yellow line (L4) in the direction of La Pau to Urquinaona stop.
The area
This area was an important trade center in the Middle Ages and the richness
generated allowed the construction of gothic palaces and cathedrals as the
famous Santa Maria del Mar Cathedral, Barcelona's most beautiful gothic church.
The Born area is plenty of restaurants, bars and little shops even the most
famous shopping place is the Born Market built at the end of the XIX century and
where you can buy all sorts of food.
