How to arrive:
If you arrive at Barcelona-El Prat airport you have two options: 1.- Take the "Cercanías" train to Plaza Catalunya. Once there you must take the green line (L3) in the direction of Zona Universitaria and get off at Drassanes station. You must walk a few minutes to the apartment. 2.- Take the Aerobus to Plaza Catalunya. Once there you must take the green line (L3) in the direction of Zona Universitaria and get off at Drassanes station. You must walk a few minutes to the apartment. If you arrive at Girona-Costa Brava airport you must take the Sagales bus. It brings you to Barcelona downtown. After that, take the metro and change to the green line (L3). Get off at Drassanes station.
The area
The Gothic Quarter is one of the treasures of the city, an essential area to understand the essence of Barcelona. There you will find slides of history which will let you to know how the city was in the Middle Age, including how it was in the Roman times. The area has one of the most important monuments, the cathedral. Many narrow streets rise from the Cathedral square and they will take you to the mystery of the old walled city.
