The Rue des Martyrs is
"Parisians' Paris". Alive with a wonderful selection of specialty shops selling
all the good things that make your stay in a Paris apartment a real French experience!
Within a short walk are the Gustave Moreau Museum, the 'Vie Romantique' Museum,
Montmartre and Sacré Cœur, Palais Garnier opera. From St Georges metro
(entrance is a gem!) direct to Musée d'Orsay, Montparnasse and the Latin
Quarter. The flower shop opposite carpets the sidewalk with colourful blooms all year
round.
Push open the heavy street door and
you will find yourself in a delightful cobbled courtyard, protected from street noises.
The apartment is up one flight of stairs. Large windows overlook courtyard and benefit
from summer sun. Some 65m2, it has an old-fashioned charm, furnished for the owners'
winter residence with an eclectic mix of old and new, polished parquet floors, shutters
rather than curtains. Hall leads to the Dining room with antique dining
table. Cosy Sitting room with ancient leather arm chairs, and comfortable Double
Sofabed. Beyond this is the Bedroom, with Double Bed ( alternative
access via a passage from dining room). Simple but well-equipped Kitchen with Washing
machine. Nice old fashioned Bathroom with tub, shower attachment. Separate WC.
