Lambeth is the name of one of London's 31 Boroughs. It lies on the south bank of the River Thames, just below the Westminster Bridge.

Originally the district of Lambeth was a small area of marshland immediately surrounding the Manor of Lambeth. But the modern Lambeth Borough now includes lots of other small London parishes including Clapham, Brixton, and Streatham.
Lambeth Borough has a reputation for being a predominantly residential area, and whilst this is true to some extent, it has to be said that a great number of tourist attractions are also located here. One of the most well-known one is probably Lambeth Palace. But there is also London Aquarium, the Museum of Garden History and the Florence Nightingale Museum.
But the primary attraction in the district has to be the vast cultural centre known as the South Bank Centre. Amongst others, this centre encompasses the Hayward Gallery and the Museum of the Moving Image.
