Description - New York Furnished Accommodation (NY-4177)
Great spacious two bedroom apartment

Building: Located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, two blocks from Central Park and walking distance to the Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Centre, Beacon Theatre and the shops of Columbus Avenue and Broadway. The apartment is on the fourth floor of a 15-story building. There is an elevator and a doorman on duty 24 hours a day. An intercom system allows guests access and there are laundry facilities in the basement of the building.
Interior: The apartment is large and well lit, with windows on the west,
east and north walls of the apartment. The apartment has high ceilings with mouldings, built in bookshelves in the hallways and guest room. There are hardwood floors throughout most of the apartment with the exception of a tiled bathroom and ceramic tiled kitchen floor. It is painted in light colours and well decorated. The bathroom has been completely redone since the photos on this website were taken with all new tiles and reglazed tub and sink. There are many closets in the apartment. The windows in the building were replaced a few years back with modern windows that keep the noise level from the street to a minimum.

The living room/dining area has a 3-seater couch and a 2-seater loveseat. There is also a 42 inch flat panel television which hangs on the wall with digital cable, VCR and DVD player and a round dining table that seats four. There is a window seat under the window that faces onto Amsterdam Avenue. The eat in kitchen has built-in glass front cabinets, a square dining table (which folds down), microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, and other major appliances which are in perfect working order. Ample cookware, dinnerware and flatware are available. The guestroom contains a desk with computer, glass door bookshelves and an armchair. For sleeping, a full size air bed (with mattress pad) can be inflated by the press of a button. There is also
another full sized air bed and a twin sized air bed that can be used.
There are two windows decorated with Roman shades. The master bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, armoire, dresser and night stands. The windows in this room have a nice view of the gardens of other apartments. This room is very quiet since it is in the back of the apartment.

The neighbourhood is upscale, with many shops and restaurants and things to do. The museum of Natural History is 6 blocks north and 1 block east (5 minute walk), Central Park is 2 blocks east and the Beacon Theatre is literally right across the street. The apartment is also just 3 blocks from the express subway stop at 72nd Street (1 local trains, 2&3 express) which allows you to get to Times Square in under 5 minutes, and downtown in less then 10 minutes. The A, C and E lines also are a 5-minute walk away (at 72nd and Central Park West). It is also located 1 block from to the City's most famous grocery store (Fairway) and butcher (Citer Ella) located at 75th and
Broadway. Zabar's is a 5-minute walk away.>
