apartment is approx. half block away from a fire station and a playground.

(one-day guest pass available). Also nearby is a Border's bookstore, and a
24-hr supermarket. There is only a 2-3 blocks walk to the #6 train station
with quick access to Grand Central and/or Penn Station.
This neighbourhood is a mix of residential and commercial with small
stores for neighbourhood shopping and services, restaurants, delis, etc.
Transportation is good with buses running uptown on First Avenue, downtown
on Second Avenue and cross-town on 34th and 23rd Streets. There is also the
6 train at 28th Street and Park Avenue
