LOCATION: NEW YORK, East Village, 6th Street between 1st
and 2nd Avenues
SIZE: Studio apartment, 2 large windows with northern
exposure, facing a lovely synagogue ensuring your
privacy. Approx. 200 square feet.
BUILDING: The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a
pre-war 5 story walk up building. no elevator) with an
exceptionally clean and watchful superintendent. The
building dates to the late 19th Century. The security is
excellent with a locked front door and intercom system
for visitors.
INTERIOR: Well-lighted and very stylish. Decorated in a
50s motif with lots of mid-century furniture and
collectibles, the apartment contains a bar with two
barstools plus a charming sitting area with a sofa and
two chairs around a Haywood Wakefield coffee table. The
sitting area also contains a writing desk. Queen-size
bed faces one of the windows. There is the daybed/sofa,
which sleeps the third person. Sheets and towels are

The kitchen is separate and is equipped with a stove,
fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Cabinets contain

the smells from the Indian restaurants since the
restaurants’ kitchens are located in the rear of the
building.

street known locally as Little India. Over 10 Indian
restaurants to choose from on the block. Plus within
walking distance to two parks: Washington Square Park
and Tompkins Square park as well as the many galleries
of Soho and many good, and extremely affordable local
restaurants, coffee houses and bakeries right outside
your door -- everything from Sushi restaurants to
Ukrainian (the East Village still contains a large
Polish and Ukrainian population). It’s truly a 24-hour
neighbourhood where you’d feel as safe at 2 in the
morning as at 2 in the afternoon.
TRANSPORTATION: Public transport is everywhere ...
busses to the upper and lower eastside on 1st and 2nd
avenues ... subway lines F, N, R, 6 and W are all within
