Building: Borders the East Village and Noho. The

of the century walk-up. The building is located on
1st street in a buzzing, exciting area surrounded by
excellent restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The
street is very popular and active, especially on the
weekends. Tight security in the building is provided
by a locked front door, accessible only by key, or
from an intercom system operated from within the
apartment. A security camera monitors the front door
24 hours a day.
Interior: This could be the most unique studio
apartment in the area. A Wallpaper Magazine photo
shoot come to life, the intimate, cosy space
combines the warm comfort of a 70’s ski lodge with
the swank cool of a bamboo-infused bachelor pad.
Recently renovated during August of ’02, this
spotless apartment boasts unique retro furnishings,
full carpeting and warm, comfortable lighting and
A/C. A full-size sofa bed rests in the rear of the
room, with ample lighting for reading, as well as a
small end table. The centrepiece of this room is a
mid-century modern-design decorative fireplace. A
stereo and television are provided for your
entertainment. There is one closet as well as
cabinets for storage, and clean linens and towels in
a small closet off the bathroom. The blue lagoon
bathroom includes a bathtub with shower. The kitchen
is separated from the main room by a screen and is
equipped with an electric stove and small
refrigerator.
Neighbourhood: New York City’s East Village is one
of the most vibrant, lively areas in the city.
Fantastic restaurants, shops, cafes and
entertainment line every street, waiting to be
discovered and enjoyed. Menus, maps and guidebooks
are provided for your information. The apartment has
five of the best restaurants in New York directly
across the street: Chez Es Saada, Prune, The
Elephant, Smith and The Tasting Room. On this block
there is a popular restaurant/club "Star 64" where
you can eat Cuban food and have a free Salsa dance
class on Thursdays. The nightlife is very lively and
it could be noisy, especially on weekends, but it is
a lot of fun. Your shopping itch is scratched by
boutiques offering anything and everything: eclectic
fashions, the best independent bookstores, funky
record stores, antiques and kitschy ephemera. One
block away is the famous Noho/Soho shopping and
design district. The popular Ludlow street is less
than five minutes on foot. At the end of the block
is First Park, including a new outdoor café that is
perfect for relaxing and people-watching. The best
areas of lower New York are within easy walking
distance, including Greenwich Village, Washington
Square Park, Astor Place and Union Square Park.
Entertainment is everywhere, including live music,
movies and clubs. All in all, the East Village
provides the true New York experience.
Others: All public transportation is easily accessed
from the block. The subway F line has entrances on
both corners of the block, and subway stations for
the 6 line are less than five minutes on foot. Bus
