neighbourhood. Off-Broadway theatre, cinema, world class
restaurants, and bars, which cater to every conceivable type
of culture and flavour, are all within stones throw.
Dining out? Try the local
Cuban joint on Rivington Street for rice and beans, Katz's
for a bit of old New York, or head out to our own Indian
district on 6th Street; all neighbourhood favourites
affordable. Looking for something more upscale? Check out
Avenue 'B' for a line-up of world class chef's and
sophisticated dining. Anyway you slice it; there's plenty to
eat at any budget. Local music venues abound. Jazz every
night is just around the corner at Deana's on Rivington or
check out the DJ's at Orchard Street Bar. The best garage
bands in town all play at Arlene's Grocery on Stanton
Street. The Lower East Side has some of the best shopping
New York City has to offer; 70's fashions, vinyl records and
classic modernist collectibles. Once you've seen LES just
jump in a cab or take the 'F' train to any destination that
Manhattan is famous for.
