What is an Un-serviced/Privately owned
apartment? ( London
- Paris - etc.)
Usually owned by an individual property investor or private owner who may be away either on holiday or occasionally
use the accommodation as a pied-à-terre. They would rather rent the
apartment during their absence than leaving it empty. The apartments are
more reasonably priced than the aparthotels as they do not usually have maid
service or other overheads. On some occasions the
price includes maid service however this is very unusual.
A telephone/security deposit of up to 1 week is required prior to arrival or on
payment of the final balance. On receipt of the
telephone account after departure, the deposit is refunded less any damages or telephone
charges. If the damages or telephone charges exceed the deposit, extra charges
will be made. When payment is by credit card, the balance of the deposit is refunded to the
credit card account.
